Keep these things in mind as you plan to visit colleges:

  • Always check the college website for specific dates on tours and information sessions, especially if you plan to visit during a holiday. Since most campus tours are student-led, tour dates may change if the college students are on break.
  • Weather conditions may change depending on the season and location of the school. Be sure to check Weather.com for travel conditions. In case of extreme weather, check the school’s web site or call the admissions office or main campus information number for closing or delays.
  • Allow enough time to park, eat, and get from session to session if you plan to attend an information session and a department or major-specific session in addition to going on the campus tour.
