“Check out the stacked cube of study carrels in Burling Library,” says Grinnell College senior and campus tour guide Mairead O’Grady. “We call it the jungle gym. It has kind of a tree house feel—you can climb up the ladder to the upper ones for a great view of the library, or you can crawl into one of the lower ones like a kid in a playhouse. It makes studying a lot more entertaining!” O’Grady is a music and French double major from Milton, Massachusetts.

I graduated from Grinnell in 2000 and _loved_ the "jungle gyms" in Burling. They're very cozy for those long study days (I'll confess to napping inside once or twice) -- lots of room to spread out and focus, or meet with others on projects.
