Unique Learning Opportunities: College Showcase

Smart Learning Showcase  In August, 2010, SmartCollegeVisit will launch a new series featuring unique learning opportunities on college and university campuses. Our goal is simple – to help the college-bound student have a better college visit experience.

We want our readers — prospective students, parents, guidance counselors, and admissions coaches — who come to our site for information on college visit planning, and tips how to get the most out of a campus visit, to gain additional insight about the opportunities for learning that extend beyond the normal or expected realm of educational options.

Built on the success of the Smart See, Smart Do series, the Smart Learning showcase will feature the programs open to freshmen, and other undergraduates, that make a particular school stand out from the rest. Schools that have already asked to participate in this showcase include:

  • Alma College
  • Carnegie Mellon University
  • Dartmouth University
  • Grinnell College
  • Millikin University
  • Sewanee: University of the South
  • University of Rochester
  • Western New England College

If you represent a 4-year college or university with a learning program that you believe to be unique among higher education institutions, and would also appeal to college-bound teens, please contact me to discuss participation in our Smart Learning™ series. I look forward to hearing from you.
