Takeaway Tweets & Transcript from #CampusChat with Tim Cigelske: Social Media @ Marquette U

Fotolia_tweeting One of my favorite tweets from last night's CampusChat was this:

Teecycle Tim @collegevisit First thing I did was start a Twitter acct on my 1st day, Oct 14, 08. Sometimes you just have to jump in & DO it. #campuschat

Tim Cigelske leads social media initiatives at Marquette University. Twitter, FB, Flickr, YouTube, Foursquare, and Tumblr are the tools currently in place to connect and engage with prospective students, current students, parents and alumni. During CampusChat, Tim revealed that how MU connects with their audiences is not solely about which tool to use but more about not being afraid to try something new and about keeping communication flowing, regardless of the medium.

TeecycleTim @collegevisit I believe in the power of print, video, social media, etc. It's all communication, everything has its place. #campuschat
