Takeaway Tweets & Transcript from #CampusChat with Brandie Gerrish

Do you Google your name weekly?

Do you have a Google Alert set up to notify you when your name appears in the public information stream we know as search results?

Well you should, according to Brandie Gerrish, senior account manager for public relations firm Hart-Boillot, even if you're a teenager — managing your personal brand begins not only with you say but what others are saying about you. More and more, college admissions officers, as well as prospective employers, will conduct some level of web-based search to glean an insight as to how you represent yourself online when you apply for admission or a job.

Gerrish spearheaded an active conversation on personal branding tips for teens on #CampusChat, July 20, 2011. Googling yourself is just the beginning. Lear more from the transcript below. Have questions? Post them in the comments section or contact Brandie via Twitter @BGdoesPR.
