#CampusChat Discusses Equestrian College Selection This Wednesday
BLACKSBURG, VA, March 7, 2012. If you are a serious horseman or woman, SAT scores aren’t your only concern when searching for the right college. Intercollegiate riding is competitive and highly selective. Randi Heathman, founder of Equestrian College Advisor, will be available Wednesday, March 7 at 9pm EST via #CampusChat to discuss this niche sport and how it fits into a college education.
The goal of Equestrian College Advisor is to assist college-bound equestrians follow their passion for competitive riding while pursuing their chosen career path. “Many riders don’t think they can have it all when it comes to their college education, but with a little bit of research and planning, they can,” said Randi Heathman. “Riding is the only sport I know of where the entire format changes once a student hits the college level and I want to help the students negotiate that transition.”
Heathman is an associate member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) and a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC). She is also a member of the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) and the United States Dressage Federation (USDF).
