QUESTION:
What should kids ask and say to college coaches if they call?

ANSWER:

A phone call from a coach is good opportunity to get your questions answered. Keep a list handy.

Jeannie Borin, M.Ed. , founder of College-Connections suggests the following for your consideration:

  • When and where are showcases and how do I obtain information?
  • What positions are available and how many players are being recruited for what years?
  • What are NCAA requirements and how do I register?
  • When should students contact coaches and when can coaches contact them?
  • Do I need to apply early if I am a recruited athlete?
  • What should be included on the athletic profile?
  • How much playing time will I get as a recruited athlete?
  • Would you like me to prepare a video?
