Scholarship Mom Tip #17: Check Your Mail

17

Check your mail–email and snail mail regularly!

Snail MailIn the next few months, scholarship providers will contact students who have
been chosen to receive their scholarship money.

Students need to regularly check their email and snail mailboxes,
including spam folders for notifications.
Some organizations will need verification forms filled out and mailed
back by specific dates, or the scholarship money may be forfeited.  Don’t let that happen!  Check those mailboxes and follow-up with any
scholarship organization that requests more information.

The work is not over until that scholarship
check is in your hands or has been mailed and received by the college you plan
on attending.
