University of Richmond to offer “Free Ride” for some Virginians

College-bound teens from families in Virginia earning $60,000 or less may qualify for free tuition, room and board at the University of Richmond. Go Spiders!

Virginia students with a total family income of $60,000 or less may be eligible for free tuition, room and board at the University of Richmond beginning Fall 2014.  The current income level is set at $40,000.  With the increase, the University hopes to expand its reach to even more Virginia residents. Tuition, room and board run about $55,000 annually. The university enrolls 3,074 undergraduates; 19% come from Virginia.

Founded in 1830, the University of Richmond (UR) is a highly selective, private, liberal arts university located in Richmond, Virginia. UR is comprised of five schools offering undergraduate, master’s, and law degrees: School of Arts and Sciences, Robins School of Business, Jepson School of Leadership Studies, University of Richmond School of Law, School of Professional and Continuing Studies.
