Scholarship Mom Tip #33: Start NOW!

Don’t put off today what can be done tomorrow — or next year, or when your student is ready to start college — Start now!

Too many parents wait until their student’s senior year to begin the scholarship search. Start NOW, no matter how old your student. Do some research and become familiar with the local scholarships that are offered in your area.

Start saving awards, honors, and memorable essays and put them in a special place that is easy to find. This pre-scholarship prep will save you frustration and panic when your student IS in his or her senior year of high school and tuition bills are suddenly looming!
