Scholarship Mom Tip #59: File the FAFSA

file the FAFSAWe are right in the middle of FAFSA season! It’s time to file the FAFSA.

Becoming familiar with financial aid terms is an important part of applying and trying to get as much help as possible in paying for college.

The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form can be found at https://fafsa.ed.gov/ and is 100% free to submit.

Applicants and their parents are directed to answer each question with helpful suggestions and information provided along the way.

There are many websites offering assistance in completing the FAFSA forms and although they may be helpful, they are costly and give no guarantee that the student will receive more aid as a result of using their services.

Have you filed your FAFSA yet?
