Scholarship Mom Tip #64: Break it down to do-able steps

stepsIt is easy for students to get overwhelmed with a stack of college scholarship applications and essays that they are expected to complete within a certain period of time. Ease their minds and break down each application into small, do-able steps, each with their own deadlines.

The application can be filled out one day, the essay written over the weekend, the required materials obtained in batches (don’t just ask for one copy of student transcripts, try and get multiple copies at one time), and the whole package assembled (in proper order!) and mailed on another day.

Keep this up throughout the year and you will be astonished at how many scholarships can be applied for as a result.
