Scholarship Mom Tip #66: Tweet Now Regret Later

Who will see your tweets? It might not be just your friends!

Tweet Now, Regret Later

Last week’s tip was about how to use Twitter to gather information about college scholarships and to be aware that scholarship judges and college admissions reps are watching what students are tweeting. This week, we take a look at some actual tweets from students on Twitter:

  • I hate these d*** scholarships!
  • I’d work on scholarships, but I’m too lazy.
  • Spent the day working hard on scholarships!
  • Filling out scholarships is so time consuming, but hopefully worth it in the end!!!

Above are examples of four different students’ tweets about college scholarships. If you were a scholarship judge, which tweets would impress you? Which ones would convince you there is another student deserving of the scholarship money?

Always think before you tweet!
