Thankfully Yours from Smart College Visit

Do you love Thanksgiving? I do. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Authorized in 1863 by President Lincoln as a national holiday, it’s the one day set aside on the US calendar officially noted as a day of giving thanks. Although as a tradition, Thanksgiving dates all the way back to 1621 which means that people in our country (even before we were  a country) have been saying “thank you” to those who have helped them learn and grow, survive and prosper, for a really long time. In honor of this lovely tradition, I’d like to say “thank you” to the people who do the same for me: my family, friends, business advisors and associates, admissions counselors and directors, guidance counselors, parents and students, the Smart College Visit team, CampusChat followers and contributors, and the many fabulous CEOs who have shared their start-up stories with me. If I had to pick one thing I’m immensely thankful for, it would be my education. I am thankful my parents encouraged me to go to college and, while the path I chose in college was not the one they originally chose for me, I am thankful for the journey and all of the lessons learned along the way. Thankfully yours, Z. Kelly Queijo, founder Smart College Visit B.A. English Virginia Tech ’89...
